How You Can Help:

Please continue to report signs of further development, construction activity, residential activity or other concerning behaviour around the woods along Woodlands Road to WOAW. Tell us what you saw/heard, dates/times and whether you have any visual/recorded evidence.

Be vigilant:

  • Report signs of development, construction, residential activity or other concerning behaviour around the woods via our Contact page. Tell us what you saw/heard, dates/times and whether you have any visual/recorded evidence.

  • 4x4s/motorbikes on bridleways and footpaths: these vehicles are only legal on roads and byways. Contact the local police on 101 if you see such vehicles using non-vehicular rights of way, making a note of the location and taking photos/video if you can.

  • Dumping of rubbish in and around the woods: please contact WOAW, giving the exact location, and we will report it to the appropriate wood owner. If the rubbish is on a public right of way, you can report it directly to Kent County Council here.

Share and discuss:

  • Join our Watch Over Adisham’s Woods Facebook group to discuss topics or issues relating to the woods and share relevant information, photographs, art and stories with others who care about the woods.

  • Contact us if you’re interested in contributing to this website, telling us what you’d be interested in sharing (e.g. a new page for our ‘Background’ section, photographs for our gallery).

  • If you live elsewhere in the country, and you know of other communities affected by development, construction activity or residential activity in ancient woodland, or problems resulting from the subdivision and sale of woods by woodland lotting companies, please share the details with us via the form on our Contact page.

Help build our community:

  • If you live locally, please put our WOAW window leaflet in a prominent window to show your support.

  • We’re particularly interested in building connections with local schools and community groups. If you think you can help us with this, tell us how by getting in touch via our Contact page.

  • If you work for an environmental group, are interested in our story and considering how you might be able to help, get in touch via our Contact page.

  • If you’re a member of the press and are interested in sharing our story, get in touch via our Contact page.

  • Contact us to ask how you can get more directly involved in the daily running of WOAW and achieving our aims.
